What to Expect
River Hills Church values children and our desire is to support you as a parent while providing a safe, fun and God-centered environment during Kid’s Connection classes.
Kid’s Connection classes are available for children ages 6 weeks to 10 years. Parents drop their children off before the worship service begins and pick them up when it is over. Many parents arrive a few minutes early allowing them to check kids in and enjoy a beverage or pastry before worship. Feel free to stick around until your child is comfortable in their classroom. Each room is staffed with children’s ministry volunteers. These caring people have a heart to teach and serve your children.
We want you to feel free to enjoy the worship experience and reconnect with Christ without any distractions. Kid’s Connection is a great environment for your child to connect with Christ as well! If your child feels more comfortable in the worship service, there are crayons and coloring sheets available at the welcome center.
Safety and Check - In
The safety and security of children is a top priority and our simple check-in and check-out policies are a way to ensure peace of mind for parents. All of our volunteers are screened and trained before they work with children. Each of our children’s classrooms are under 24-hour video surveillance.
Upon checking your child into their class, you will receive a number for each child. If your child needs you, his or her number will appear on the screens in the worship center.
Kid’s Connection Classes We have three different Kid’s Connection classes for our children. The first is our infant and toddler room for children ages 6 weeks to 2 years. Children are engaged through music, toys and Bible stories during their time in the nursery. Our next class is for 3 to 6 year olds. Children will be involved in various learning stations, work on art projects and learn Bible stories while having a great time!
River Hill’s Kid’s Connection is for children 7 to 10 years old. In this classroom children will take their faith to a deeper level, connecting Christ and Biblical truths to their daily lives in fun and creative ways!
